OCTOBER 6 Newsletter

We live in a day and time when so many people are chasing after what will make them happy .  But the sad reality is, that instead of seeing happy people all around us, we see more and more people who are stressed out , offensive , and freely venting their anger.  The truth is, the only way to lasting happiness and satisfaction in this life, is to give your life to the One who gave us life to begin with.

The Lord told Abraham in Genesis 17:1-2,

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly."

The word “walk” in this verse implies walking habitually with God, and the word “blameless” means a state of wholeness and integrity.  If we read further on in this chapter, we see in verse 6 that God  promises to then make Abraham “exceedingly fruitful ” (or overwhelmingly blessed).  So, the true path to happiness is not found by seeking happiness through chasing after things, but it’s found by  “walking' habitually with the Lord .  I am ready for a walk - how about you?
